On Monday 16th October, RLCGA's Trish Davidson and Lorraine Morrow (Erskine) played at the Grand Final of the Amateur Lady Golfer Summer Knock Out Pairs competition at the Belfry. Throughout the summer they played 4 rounds against pairs from clubs around the West of Scotland (Vale of Leven, Troon Welbeck, Bearsden and Southerness), after 4 victories they were the regional winners! This resulted in a trip to the Grand final at the Belfry played over the Derby course.On the Sunday they played a practice round and on Monday the main competition. They were competing against 12 other pairs and they knew that they needed to play their best to be in with a chance. The format was betterball stableford (same as the knockout rounds) with full handicap (3/4 previously) and it suited their game perfectly – scoring 45 points!
