CORONATION FINALS AT ST ANDREWS NORTHAMPTONSHIRE PAIR WIN

Northamptonshire pair Ann Lester and Christina Hancock sealed victory in the Coronation Foursomes Grand Final in St Andrews, tasting success in the 65th anniversary of one of the largest domestic golf participation events.

 Over the Eden Course at the Home of Golf, the Whittlebury Park Golf Club team shone in the autumnal sun to post a winning score of 38 points in the handicap stableford foursomes format.

Emerging victorious from the 32 finalists on their first ever visit to St Andrews, Lester and Hancock also booked a place in the Pro-Am for the 2019 Women's British Open at Woburn.

In a field of 119  players Alex Glennie (Kilmarnock Barassie) was the only player to break 80 in the SVLGA Patrick Rosebowl played over the Rosemount Course at Blairgowrie yesterday. 


Flora Kerr (Minto) playing off  20 was the overall winner of the Patrick Rosebowl with a net 73.
