180 ladies played in the Pollok Golf Club Open Greensomes on Monday 17th September 

Fiona Allison and Linda Jack (Dumfries and County) had the best score of the day with a gross 80.
The best nett score of the day was a 66 by the Williamwood pairing of Elspeth Finlay & Sandra Weatherspoon

Still some spaces left for the last of the Club's Open competitions. This year it is the pairs competition played in a greensomes format with the Centenary Trophy up for grabs. There will be a raffle on the day with half of the day's proceeds going to the Renfrew branch of Enable.

RANFURLY CASTLE TRI AM RESULTS

Thursday 19th July saw 75 ladies play in 25 teams of 3 for the Tri-am format of the Ranfurly Castle Ladies Open day.  Conditions were perfect for good scoring which resulted in the winning team returning with 90 stabelford points - 2 scores at each hole and 3 at the last.  

RESULTS: 
1st:  Eda Davey, Joan Walker and Linda Morgan (Balfron GC) 90 points.  
2nd : Adrienne MacLagan, Mandy Allan and Christine Houston (Milngavie GC)  86 points
3rd:  Isobel Rhind, Anne Sharp (Bothwell Castle) and Chris Minto (Ranfurly Castle) ) 85 points.

64 couples took part in Douglas Park's 2018 Open Day competition yesterday on a lovely bright, albeit slightly breezy, day.

Over £500 was raised from the proceeds of the raffle and will be presented to the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research Glasgow.

Captain Anne Reid thanked Anne Fergusson, Sally McFarlane and Helen Robertson, ably assisted by Jinty Halley and Patricia Richmond, for all their organisation of 26 Douglas Park Ladies’ Open Days!  They have raised around £600 every year enabling so many different charities to benefit from these donations over the years.  Magnificent – well done ladies and thank you so much!

Christine Steedman and Ruth Mcconkey from Pitreavie had the best score of the day - 35 points winners by the better inward half 

Another highlight was local player Sheila McFarlane who had a HOLE IN ONE at the 17th
