She played well with birdies at the 4th, 9th and 10th holes and with 6 single putts in her last 6 holes to defeat Joanna Scott (Cathkin Braes) by 5 & 4.Joanna also played well throughout the championship. In the morning semi finals Joanna defeated Lesley Lloyd 2&1 while Fiona defeated defending champion Susan Wood 4&3.
In the Bronze Championship Final Caroline Smith (Strathaven) defeated Margaret Porteous (Drumpellier), who was playing in her first County competition, 5&3.
