By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Lanarkshire's Pamela Pretswell's joint sixth place finish in the Helen Holm Scottish women's open stroke-play championship at Royal Troon on Sunday has boosted her RandA Women's World Amateur Ranking by 11 places to No 21.
The only British or Irish players in the top 20 are the 16-year-old Maguire twins from Co Cavan, Ireland. Leona, pipped for the "Helen Holm" title, has gone up two places to No 9 while Lisa has also gone up two spots to No 15.
The only other Scot apart from Pamela Pretswell, pictured in action on Sunday by Carol Fell in the world's top 100 female amateurs is Scottish champion Kelsey MacDonald. The Nairn Dunbar player and Stirling University student has gone up six places this week to No 37.
