Windyhill Golf Club held their Club Championship matches today in a mixture of sun and showers.
Carol Whyte and
Laura McGeachy contested the Ladies Championship in what proved to be a well fought match. Carol started well with pars at the first 3 holes to go 3up. Laura then staged a determined come back bringing the match back to 1 down after 7 but Carol regained her lead to 3 at the turn. Carol birdied the infamous 12th to go 4 up but birdies eluded Laura at 14 & 15 when her putts just shaved the hole. The match ended on 15 with Carol winning 4&3 with a 2 over par score!
A great match by both players.
