SCOTS SENIOR WOMEN TENTH IN SWITZERLAND


Tain's Mary Smith and Alex Glennie (Kilmarnock Barassie) were Scotland's joint lowest scorers in the stroke-play qualifying rounds of the European senior women's amateur team championship at Lugano Golf Club, Switzerland today.
The Scots finished 10th place with a total of 814, 50 shots behind the leading team, France and 39 behind second-placed England.
Scotland's scores were:
160 Mary Smith (Tain) 78 82, Alex Glennie (Kilmarnock Barassie) 80 80.
