Carnoustie's Katy McNicoll dropped to joint sixth after sharing the lead overnight and Pamela Pretswell (Bothwell Castle), pictured, took over as the leading Scot, in second place with one round to to in the Azores Ladies Open golf championship at Furnas golf course, Sao Miguel Island. McNicoll slumped from an opening 73 to an 81, which included a triple bogey 7 at the eight in an outward 42, for 154. Pretswell reeled off 16 pars and two bogeys in a 74 for 149 - two shots behind the leader, Italy's Anna Rossi (73-74), who won the British women's open amateur stroke-play title at Prince's in 2006.
