Lorna McClymont (Milngavie) wins the St Andrews University schoolgirls invitational tournament

Lorna McClymont
Lorna McClymont (Milngavie) won the St Andrews University schoolgirls invitational tournament over 54 holes, playing the New Course, Strathtyrum and the Jubilee in that order, over the weekend.
She had rounds of 73, 70 and 75 for an aggregate of 218, winning by four strokes from Susan Woodhouse (East Kilbride) who had scores of 75, 67 and 80.

If Susan had parred the last three holes at the Jubilee Course she would have matched McClymont's total but, instead, she had a double bogey 7 at the 16th and bogeys at the 17th and 18th for an inward half of 43.
McClymont had an eagle 3 in round one and a total bag of nine birdies over the three rounds. Woodhouse has eight birdies.
Kirsten Brown (Strathaven) finished third on 233 - 11 shots adrift of runner=up Woodhouse - with scores of 83, 71 and 79.
