Nichola Ferguson (Clober) in today's quarter-finals of the
Dunbartonshire & Argyll women's county golf championship at Hilton Park Golf Club.
Nichola now plays the No 5 seed,
Helen Faulds (Douglas Park) for a place in the final. Helen won by 5 and 3 in the quarter-finals against
Kirstin Scott (Milngavie), beaten in last year's final by
Kylie Walker who has since turned professional.
In the other semi-final,
Aileen Baker, playing over her home course, will meet the No 6 seed,
Fiona McLean, also a Hilton Park member. Aileen was three up on the 16th tee in her quarter-final against the 10th seed
Laura McGeachy (Windyhill) but lost the last three holes. Baker squeezed through to the last four by holing a 20ft birdie putt at the 19th.
