The Campbell Clock Entrants with County Officials

22 girls who are members of Renfrewshire clubs, took part in the  annual RLCGA competitions at Whitecraigs Golf Club on Sunday 26th August.
The weather had been appalling in the morning but with an improving forecast and crossed fingers, all went ahead,

The Junior Championship was held alongside the Campbell Clock as it is increasing difficult to get the girls together!

We are indebted to Whitecraigs GC for giving us the courtesy of their courses once again and to their Lady Captain, Rosemary Dobson who assisted on the day and presented some of the prizes.

All the helpers were very much appreciated and delighted that they were not soaked this year. Our thanks also go to Clair Barclay who donated golf balls for the goodie bags.

🏌️‍♀️BRENDA CONWAY WINS RENFREW LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP 2018🏌️‍♀️

The Renfrewshire Ladies Championship between Nancy Cowan and Brenda Conway took place yesterday afternoon in sunny conditions with a slight breeze.
Brenda took a commanding lead with par golf in the first half and was 4 up at the turn. However, Nancy came fighting back winning the next 3 holes to par reducing Brenda's lead to 1 but pars at the 13th and 14th put Brenda back to 3 up.
A close fought half at the 15th resulted in the game being dormie 3 for Brenda with the game finishing on the 16th, 4 and 2.

The many spectators from the Ladies Section were treated to an exciting match some of whom stayed behind to toast the winner with the customary tea, sandwiches and cakes provided by Liz in The Clubhouse Bistro RGC.

Many congratulations to Brenda on winning her second Ladies Championship 👍

Thanks fo to Fiona Armour for report and photograph
