Troon's Connie Jaffrey was the leading Scot, in a share of 38th place with a one-over-par 73, at the end of the first round of the European women's individual amateur championship at Estonia Golf and Country Club.
Connie, beaten finalist in the Scottish women's amateur championship at Prestwick but surprisingly beaten early in defence of her Scottish U18 girls' title at Dumfries and County GC last week, was three under par on the fifth tee after birdies at the first, third and fourth but she was four over par for the remaining holes with bogeys at the seventh, ninth, 11th and 17th.
Curtis Cup players Gemma Dryburgh (Beaconsfield) and Eilidh Briggs (Kilmacolm) scored 76 and 77 respectively. Dryburgh had a double bogey at the third and four bogeys to offset birdies at the second and third. She is T84 in the first-round standings.
Briggs had seven bogeys in halves of 37-40 to be T97 alongside Lauren Whyte (St Regulus) and Germany-based Rachael Taylor.
Spain's Nuria Iturrious leads the field with a five-under 67.
