SCOTS WOMEN AND GIRLS TEAMS WIN IN EUROPE FLIGHT B TIES

NEWS FROM EUROPEAN WOMEN'S AND GIRLS' CHAMPIONSHIPS

Scotland teams won their Flight B ties today (Friday) in the European women's and girls' team golf championships respectively
Scotland's women beat Austria 4 1/2-1/2 at Ljubljana, Slovenia with Eilidh Briggs, Jess Meek, Gemma Dryburgh, and the foursomes pairing of Alyson McKechin and Gabrielle MacDonald providing the wins.
Connie Jaffrey had a halved match.
SCOTLAND 4 1/2, AUSTRIA 1/2
Foursome: A McKechin and G MacDonald beat F Wolfe and A Purgaer 4 and 2 (1-0).
Singles:
E Briggs bt M Gasplmayr 6 and 5
J Meek bt M Krenn 3 and 2
G Dryburgh bt S Schober 5 and 3
C Jaffrey halved with N Dreher

Scotland's girls beat Belgium 3-2 at Skalika, Slovenia.
The Scots winners were Hazel McGarvie, Lauren Whyte and Heather Munro.
