THE 2021 SCOTTISH COUNTY FINALS LINE UP IN FORRES

 Ayrshire -- 2019 County Team Champions 

The County Finals were last played in 2019 with none in 2020  due to Covid -- That year Ayrshire Ladies' County Golf Association became champions with Carnoustie's star -  amateur Louise Duncan in the team  -- Click here to read the full report then 


Three County teams will fight it out to be the 2021 Scottish County Champions at the finals in Forres from Friday 27th August - Sunday 29th August.

They are Dunbartonshire & Argyll, who are representing the West Division, Midlothian the East and Perth & Kinross the North. 

There is no team from the South Division this year as they were unable to get their County Jamboree played. 
Instead, Scottish Golf has invited Northern Counties to supply a team to keep the round robin format of the finals intact.

PERTH & KINROSS WIN THE NORTHERN DIVISION JAMBOREE

Perth & Kinross
won the Northern Division Jamboree at Monifieth today. 

Over the three days they played some amazing golf to triumph over Angus, Aberdeenshire and Northern Counties. 

 The team will go on to play in the Scottish County Finals at Forres Golf Club from 27 - 29 August 2021.

PERTH & KINROSS COUNTY TEAM FOR THE JAMBOREE


This year's 
North Division Jamboree is being held at Monifieth Golf Links (Medal Course), from Saturday 12 June to Monday 14 June 2021.

The 2021 Perth & Kinross Ladies' County Team will be defending the North Division championship title that Perth & Kinross won at Ballater Golf Club in 2019. They will be up against fierce competition from the other three North Division teams: Aberdeenshire, Angus and Northern Counties.

 

The winning team will go on to represent the North Division in the Scottish County Finals at Forres, from 27 - 29 August 2021.

PERTH & KINROSS LADIES' COUNTY TEAM ANNOUNCED

The Team selected to represent P&KLCGA at the North Division Jamboree at Monifieth Golf Links, from Saturday 12 to Monday 14 June 2021, is:

Spectators will be very welcome at the Jamboree, assuming the current social distancing rules and the COVID-19 guidance provided by the Scottish Government and Scottish Golf remains unchanged, of course. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, there will be no caddies for the players this year.

Megan Ashley Wins P&K County Championship

Winner Megan Ashley (Blairgowrie & Runner-up Eilidh Watson (St Regulus) 

Megan Ashley
 triumphed at the P&K Ladies' County Championship final at Strathmore today. She beat Eilidh Watson 3&2 to take the title.


Gwen Munro won the Handicap Championship 4&3 against Liz Milligan.

DAWN BUTCHART IS THE NEW PERTH AND KINROSS COUNTY PRESIDENT

The Perth & Kinross Ladies' County Golf Association AGM was held at Blairgowrie Golf Club last Sunday - 20th October 2019 -

They were delighted to announce that Dawn Butchart (Strathmore) - pictured above is their new Honorary President. 
Pam Drysdale proposed her appointment at the AGM. It was unanimously agreed. A former Team member, Secretary and Captain for our County, Dawn brings a wealth of experience to the post.

Her husband said --
"Dawn has done so much for for Golf at Club, County and Scottish level." 
"She has been Club Champion at Strathmore many times, P&K County Champion and was instrumental in Junior Development during her term on the board of the SLGA."

"This honour is so richly deserved. And if I had a 6ft downhiller to win I know who I would ask to knock it in"

LAURA CAMPBELL WINS PERTH AND KINROSS CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

Huge congratulations to Laura Campbell (Pitlochry) who won the Perth & Kinross Ladies' Champion of Champions at Blairgowrie Golf Club today. 

 Laura  shot a three-over-par scratch score of 77 to win the title by 4 shots. 
The runner-up was the defending champion Isla Moncrieff who shot 81. 
 Rosemount Course: Par 74 & CSS 77

AYRSHIRE AND PERTH AND KNROSS ARE WINNERS ON DAY 1 OF THE SCOTTISH WOMENS COUNTY FINALS

Ayrshire, 7-2 winners against Fife, and Perth and Kinross, who beat Dumfriesshire 5-4, lead the Scottish Women's County Finals table after Day 1 at Peebles.
Ayrshire took the foursomes 2-1 against Fife and romped to a 5-1 victory in the singles.
The P and K versus Dumfrieshire meeting was a much closer contest with P and K edging the foursomes 2-1 before the afternoon singles honours were shared 3-3.

The Scottish County Finals will be held at Peebles Golf Club this week, from Friday 30 August to Sunday 1 September.

Four County teams will do battle over the three days in the Scottish Borders. They are AyrshireDumfriesshireFife and Perth & Kinross. Each of the four finalists won their Division's Inter-county Jamboree to qualify.

KIRSTY BRODIE WINS THE PERTH AND KINROSS CHAMPIONSHIP

Kirsty Brodie triumphed at the Perth & Kinross Ladies' County Championship final at Alyth today.  
She beat fellow squad member Katy Alexander 4&3 to take the title.

The P&K Ladies' County Championship qualifier was played yesterday (Monday 6 May). 

P&KLCGA CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER - RESULTS & DRAWS

Defending champion Jen Saxton from Muckhart was the leading qualifier for the P&K Ladies' County Championship at Alyth Golf Club yesterday.

The top 16 scratch players and the next 8 handicap players will play the finals at Alyth this weekend.

SPONSORED SPEED GOLF BY PERTH AND KINROSS COUNTY - 18 HOLES IN 35 MINUTES AND 26 SECONDS !!

Perth and Kinross Speed Golfers

It proved to be 3rd time lucky for Perth and Kinross County Sponsored Speed Golf event at Strathmore Golf Club on Sunday. 

Postponed twice due to bad weather, the event finally went ahead after the Coaching on Sunday.  The Speed Golf Team included seven Senior Squad members and one Match Secretary.  They were as follows:

Katy Alexander, Megan Ashley, Laura Campbell, Jenny Collins, Jen Saxton, Isla Moncrieff, Laura Walker & Caroline Henderson.

With Isla's plan in hand, they raced round the 18 holes in an astonishing 35 mins & 26 seconds.  And, they almost broke 90!  Well done everyone.  It was a fantastic team performance!

The event raised £311 for County funds

THE MICHAEL PHELPS PUTTING CHALLENGE - COUNTY JUNIORS DO WELL

We all remember Olympian Michael Phelps' monster 153-foot putt at Kingsbarns Golf Links in the 2012 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, incredible scenes! The competitors at our inaugural Kingsbarns Girls Classic tried their luck, let's see how they got on!

ISLA MONCRIEFF MAKES IT A HAT TRICK BY WINNING THE PERTH AND KINROSS COUNTY CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

14 Perth and Kinross Club Champions took part in the  Champion of Champions at Dunblane Golf Club on Sunday 21st October. The winner was Isla Moncrieff with a scratch score of 78. 

The win tops off a fantastic year for Isla Moncrieff who not only won her club championship at Pitlochry, but also at Aberfeldy. 

The CSS was 72.  The results were as follows:
