SHEENA WOOD - LEADING SCOT ON DAY 1 IN BELGIUM

Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies) fared the best of the Scots in the international field of 108 with a round of five-over-par 78 in the European Senior Women's Amateur Championship at Golf du Mont Garni, Mons in Belgium today when bad weather delayed the start by a couple of hours.

Gillian Kyle (East Renfrewshire) was the only other Scot to break 80. She had a 79.


Sylvie Van Molle (Belgium) and Laura Webb (Northern) were joint leaders by two strokes with three-under-par 70s.

RENFREWSHIRE WIN THE COMMONWEALTH SPOONS BY NINE STROKES AT STIRLING

Renfrewshire's Carol McNally (Williamwood) and Alyson McGinnigle (Cowglen) won the Commonwealth Spoons competition at Stirling Golf Club today by the very comfortable margin of nine strokes with a total of 69.5 
Perth and Kinross 2  - Jillian Milne and Gwen Tate and Dunbartonshire and Argyll 2  - Ronalda Agnew and Ann Shanks tied for second place on 78.5 in a field of 45 pairs.

D&A JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP AND HANDICAP WINNERS -- SOME BELATED NEWS
