CONNIE JAFFREY JUST LOSES IN THE QUARTER FINALS OF THE FRENCH UNDER 21 GIRLS

Connie Jaffrey (Troon Ladies), last year's Scottish U18 girls champion, and Annabel Dimmock (Wentworth), beaten finalist in last month's Spanish women's open amateur championship, both lost in this morning's quarter-finals of the French Under-21 girls' open championship at St Cloud Golf and Country Club near Paris.
Connie, 11th of the 32 match-play qualifiers, lost by one hole to Spain's Marta Martin, at the 19th hole.

Linnea Strom (Sweden) bt Mathilda Cappeliez (France) at 19th.
Celia Barquin (Spain) bt Ana Belac (Slovenia) 5 and 4.
Marta Martin (Spain) bt Connie Jaffrey (Scotland) 1 hole.
Virginia Elena Carta (Italy) bt Annabel Dimmock (England) 3 and 2.
SEMI-FINALS
Barquin bt Strom 1 hole.
Carta bt Martin at 21st.
