HANNAH DARLING WINS THE 2021 ST RULE TROPHY

Hannah Darling - St Rule Trophy Winner  

 Hannah Darling (Broomieknowe GC) won the St Rule Trophy today over the Old Course on the 3 round event. She won by three shots from Clara Young (North Berwick)  with Lorna Mclymont (Milngavie) in 3rd place.

West of Scotland's Louise Duncan (West Kilbride) finished  in 10th position on 6 under with Hazel McGarvie (Royal Troon) on 3 under in 21st place

HAZEL MACGARVIE WINS THE ST RULE TROPHY

Hazel MacGarvie (Royal Troon), pictured below, scored arguably her best win todate when she won the prestigious St Rule Trophy 54-hole tournament at St Andrews by four strokes with an 18-under-par total of 208 today.

Hazel, Scottish U18girls champion in 2016, and Scottish Universities women's title-winner in 2018, was runner-up in the St Rule Trophy tournament last year. She had rounds of 68, 70 and 70 over the weekend
England's Lianna Bailey (Kirby Muxloe) finished second on 212.

Hannah McCook leads the St Rule Trophy after 2 rounds

Grantown on Spey's Hannah McCook recaptured the form that won her the Welsh and Irish Open stroke-play titles in consecutive weekends and leads the prestigious St Rule Trophy 54 holes tournament at St Andrews.

Hannah, posted two rounds of 71 over the New Course for an eight-under-par tally of 142 over the par-75 lay-out. In her second round she birdied all five of the par-5s but, conversely, bogeyed four par-3 holes, the fifth, ninth, 13th and 17th .
Hazel MacGarvie (Troon Ladies), the 2016 Scottish U18 girls champion, led with a first-round 67 but required nine more strokes to get round the New Course on her second circuit. She had four birdies and two double-bogey 5s at two par-3 holes.
Defending champion Clara Young (North Berwick), having just returned from the University of Missouri, left her best form behind her in the States. She has had rounds of 78 and 81 for 159 at St Andrews, some 17 strokes behind leader McCook
