The Scottish Vets Captain is Helen Faulds and News from the Scottish Vets Jamboree

Blairgowrie Golf Club was a very busy place on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of this week as 120 Vets from all over Scotland arrived to play in their annual competitions. Weather was kind to us again this year and the courses were in very good condition.
The Championship played on the Lansdowne Course featured the divisional champions in a knockout competition and Pat Hutton (Lanark)  the West Vets Champion, lost in the to Linda Dyball (Midlands) in the quarter finals. Noreen Fenton the East Vets Champion won the title to add to her Scottish Seniors Championship title earlier this year.

The Scottish Vet's Greensomes was played over the Lansdowne Course on Tuesday and  Carol Fell (Ranfurly Castle) and Helen Faulds (Douglas Park)  retained the Tony Moffat Memorial Trophy for the best Scratch  Score of 78 (3 over the SSS OF 75) and the Beddows Quaich for 1st handicap 78-7-71 that they had won in 2010.
Sally Coster SVLGA Vice president  from Hilton Park chaired the AGM due to President Jean Thomas being unwell and  Helen Faulds (Douglas Park) took over from Pam Williamson as the new Scottish Vets Captain. She thanked Pam for all her hard work over the years (see video at end).  East Vet Noreen Fenton was appointed the Scottish Vets Vice Captain
