Lanarkshire's Girls' Team came out on top in the West Division Inter-County Junior Matches played at West Kilbride yesterday. The defending champions
Ayrshire made a solid start winning all three foursomes matches in the morning to take the lead on 3 points with Lanarkshire close behind on 2, Renfrewshire 1 and D. & A. 0. Playing in sunshine but with a very strong wind in the afternoon, the Lanarkshire girls forged ahead winning 5 out of their 6 singles matches giving them 7 points overall for victory, a very creditable performance.

Renfrewshire 4 and D. & A. 2. For Junior Convenors and spectators alike, it was a joy to see all the girls enjoying themselves and playing their games in the true spirit of golf.
