Emily had birdies at the short seventh, the long eight and the 10th in halves of 37. She bogeyed the ninth but was heading for a sub-par score until she had further bogeys at the 16th and 18th.
Dalgetty will start the second eliminating round one stroke ahead of Nicola Robertson (Dunblane New) who was beaten finalist in last week's North of Scotland women's championship at Deeside GC, Aberdeen.
Robertson had a double bogey 6 at the first hole but birdied three long holes, the sixth, eighth and 11th, to be under par until she bogeyed the 17th and 18th for halves of 38 and 37.
Defending champion Lauren Whyte (St Regulus) is tied for sixth place on 77.
Only the leading 32 players after the second qualifying round will go forward to the match play stages.

Alan Tait presents Lynn Kenny with the Belhaven Trophy

Neil Hampton, Pamela Pretswell, Laura Murray, Michael Gannon winners of the Team Award

Gillian Kirkwood, Heather McCrae, Lynn Kenny and Carol Fell  - Team Runners Up
By COLIN FARQUHARSON
It was girls on top at the Callaway/Gleneagles Hotel-sponsored Scottish golfwriters and guests' golf tournament over the King's Course, Gleneagles today.
On a dry (!), windless day on a soft course - aren't they all at the moment? - Lynn Kenny (Archerfield Links) won the Belhaven Trophy for the best overall Stableford points score with an outstanding effort of 39 - off a handicap (for competition purposes) of +3!
Lynn's gross score was six-under-par 65 (32-33).
She is the first female competitor ever to win the Belhaven Trophy.
"It was a brilliant display," said one of her playing partners, Carol Fell (Ranfurly Castle).
"No-one was more surprised than me," said Lynn, a former Scottish women's amateur champion who lost her Ladies European Tour card at the end of last season, "because I have played very little golf lately. Maybe this is the answer to regaining my form!"
Rookie pro and recent Curtis Cup heroine Pamela Pretswell (Bothwell Castle), Scottish women's amateur champion Laura Murray (Alford), Michael Gannon (Daily Record) and Neil Hampton, general manager of Royal Dornoch Golf Club won the team event with 94pt .
Runners-up were the all-ladies team of Gillian Kirkwood (Broomieknowe), Lynn Kenny (Archerfield Links), Heather MacRae (Gullane) and Carol Fell with 92pt.
Scott Peddie (Bunkered and Scottish Club Golfer) won he Alex M Fox Trophy as winner of the Golfwriters' section. He scored 32pt off a handicap of seven, despite not scoring any points at all at two holes.
Neil Hampton won the Male Guests' category with 33pt off scratch. His gross score was 71 (34-37) against a par of 68.
Callaway provided the golf equipment prizes and Gleneagles Hotel supplied goodie bags, coffee/tea and bacon rolls on arrival and a two-course lunch, all on the house. And, of course, they provided the golfwriters and guests with the courtesy of the King's Course - perhaps the biggest prize of all!
The management at Machrihanish Dunes, Trump International Links, Marriott Dalmhoy Hotel Golf and Country Club, Royal Dornoch Golf Club and Gleneagles Hotel provided courtesy tee times at their courses at future dates as additional prizes.

Pamela Pretswell finishes joint 6th in her Pro Debut

Pamela Pretswell ended her professional debut in a satisfactory joint sixth place behind home winner Marianne Skarpnord in the Ladies Norwegian Challenge at Hauger Golf Club in Oslo on the Ladies European Tour Access Series on Friday.

PAMELA PRETSWELL TURNS PROFESSIONAL

Pamela Pretswell
Pamela Pretswell announced today that she has turned professional and will play on the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS).

Pamela, who graduated from Glasgow University last year, moves into the professional ranks on the back of a successful amateur career. Last month she helped Great Britain and Ireland win the Curtis Cup against the USA for the first time since 1996 and is a former winner of the British Ladies Amateur Stoke Play Championship and Swiss Ladies Amateur Open.

Since graduating, Pamela has been preparing for professional golf by playing as an amateur in the LETAS and in May she became the first amateur to win a LETAS event when she won the Ljunbyhed Park PGA Ladies Open in Sweden by 2 shots after a final round of 4 under par.

Pamela is currently lying 2nd in the LETAS Order of Merit and is targeting a top 3 finish which would secure a card for the Ladies European Tour (LET) in 2013. Pamela's first event as a professional will be in the LETAS Ladies Challenge in Norway next week.

On turning professional, Pamela paid tribute to the support and encouragement that she has received from the Scottish Ladies Golf Association (SLGA), Ladies Golf Union (LGU), Lanarkshire Ladies County Golf Association, Bothwell Castle Golf Club, Ladies Golf Club Troon, Aberdeen Asset Management, Coach Alan Murdoch and his team at Kings Acre.

PAMELA'S PLAN TO BY PASS Q SCHOOL IS WORKING WELL

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Pamela Pretswell is well placed to become the first amateur to win a place on the Ladies European Tour by finishing in the first three of the developmental circuit, the LET Access Series.
The 23-year-old Bothwell Castle GC member from Hamilton, who will play for GB and I against the United States in the June 8-10 Curtis Cup match at Nairn, has played in all five LETAS events since April - paying her own way as an amateur to get to tournaments in France, Spain, Sweden (2) and the Ukraine.
And it is looking more and more like a sound financial investment in her future as a tour golf pro because Pamela, a graduate of Glasgow Universityis lying second in the LETAS Tour Order of Merit with 7,366pt which means that had she been playing as a professional in these events she would have won 7,366 Euros in prizemoney.
Pamela won a LETAS event in Sweden last week and finished second this week at Kiev in the Ukraine.
Having failed narrowly to gain pass marks at the Ladies European Tour Q School at La Manga in January, Pretswell obviously worked out this plan that via the LETAS Tour she could bypass another visit to the Q School.
This will be Pretswell's second Curtis Cup match - she played at Essex County Club two years ago - and almost certainly her last unless things go drastically wrong with her plans to turn pro.
Although a past British women's amateur stroke-play champion, Pretswell has never won the Scottish women's amateur championship.
But she is so single-minded in her quest to make it to the Ladies European Tour (and perhaps the US LPGA Tour after that), that she bypassed last week's native championship at Tain to play in Sweden - and win the LETAS event.
The only Scot in the GB and I squad of eight, she will be entirely focused, however, on the Curtis Cup over the next couple of weeks as the next LETAS event is not until July 4-6 in Norway. After that there will be only four Order of Merit events, one a month, through to early November.
The top six placings are:
1 Marion Ricordeau (France) 13,445pt
Pamela Pretswell (Scotland) 7,366
3 Cecile Lundgren (Norway) 6,231
4 Marjet Van Der Graaf (Netherlands) 5,840
Carly Booth (Scotland) 5,805.
Katy McNicoll (Scotland) 5,540.
"It was a great tournament earlier this week - first big golf event to be held in the Ukraine and great to be apart of it," said Pamela.
"The course was fantastic - very, very tough! Warm conditions first few days, but much cooler and lots of wind for the final day which made the course a real challenge!
"I've been away for three weeks now - two weeks in Sweden and straight to Kiev from there. Playing in five events on the LETAS Tour has been great experience for me. I've learned a lot but glad to get home to Scotland for a few days' rest
before heading up to Nairn for the Curtis Cup build-up.
"As an amateur on the LETAS Tour I have been well looked after by the other players, almost all of them professionals. They have been showing me the ropes. Everyone is very friendly and I just l love being a part of this tour.
"It is expensive going from country to country in Europe for the tournaments as an amateur, but so is playing in amateur events."

PAMELA PRETSWELL WINS PRO EVENT IN SWEDEN

GOLF COPY AND SCORES CREDIT CAL CARSON GOLF AGENCY QUERIES TO COLIN FARQUHARSON

Curtis Cup amateur Pamela Pretswell more than justified her decision not to play in this week's Scottish women's amateur championship at Tain by winning the Ljungbyheds Park Women's Open, a Ladies European Tour developmental circuit 54-hole event in Sweden today (Friday).
The Hamilton-based, 22-year-old Bothwell Castle GC member is playing with and amongst female professionals on a regular basis with the objective of raising her game to the standard require to gain pass marks at the LET Qualifying School next January.
Pamela, who will be playing for GB and I against the United States in next month's Curtis Cup match at The Nairn, failed to make it at this year's Q School.
She shot rounds of 73, 72 and a great final score of four-under-par 67 for a one-under-par total of 212 and a two-stroke victory in Sweden.
Swedish amateur Isabella Deilert (69-73-72) finished second on 214.
Carnoustie's Kate McNicoll finished joint 31 on 10-over-par 223 with scores of 72-78-73.
Ayrshire's Pamela Feggans totalled 226 for 38th place with scores of 74-76-77.
It's been a good week for the selectors of the GB and I Curtis Cup team. On Thursday, Kelly Tidy, one of their team of eight, won the English women's amateur championship. Now Pretswell has endorsed her selection too.

PAMELA PRETSWELL STRUGGLES IN SWEDEN

The Scottish challenge in the Kristianstad Ahus Ladies Open in Sweden was halved for the final round when Glasgow's Gemma Webster and Pamela Feggans from Patna, Ayrshire missed the 36-hole cut. Gemma shot 79-76 for 155 and missed out by one shot - Ten over par qualified but 11 over par did not. Pamela had scores of 81-83 for 164 and was never going to make it. Up at the sharp end of the scoreboard,
Carnoustie's Katy McNicoll hung on in there in a share of sixth place on 148 after scores of 72 and 76. She had five bogeys in an outward 39 but eight pars and one bogey on the way home.
Curtis Cup amateur Pamela Pretswell (Bothwell Castle) had a most uncharacteristic, error-strewn round of 80, eight shots worse than her first-day score. She has slumped out of the top 10 to joint 22nd on 152.

Pamela Pretswell had two birdies, at the first and 10th, but she also had two double bogeys, at the fifth and 13th, and six bogeys in halves of 39-41.
