Kylie Walker is the best in the West (Scottish Under 21 Strokeplay)

Carly Booth from Comrie won the Scottish Under-21 girls’ open amateur stroke-play championship by nine strokes at Auchterarder Golf Club today.

Despite dropping three shots late on in her final round, including a double-bogey at the par-3 last where she was plugged in a bunker, Carly won by the runaway margin of nine strokes from Robert Gordon University student Laura Murray (Alford) and Kylie Walker (Buchanan Castle).

Past Captains played in the Past Captains Trophy today. Alison Robertson was the overall winner with 40 points and Nancy MacGadie was Runner Up with 39 points. Some of the older Past Captains joined the rest for lunch and Sally Nisbet was winner of the putting competition.

Ayrshire Girls won the Kennedy Salver at Cowglen on Monday. With the new format of foursomes in the morning then singles in the afternoon against all 3 other counties, it was very close and the last 2 games on the course decided the overall result!
