Thailand's Ariya wins Ladies Scottish Open and Kelsey and Kylie

Ariya Jutanugarn

Thailand will have a new world number one when the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings are released on Monday, after Ariya Jutanugarn (pictured above) conquered rainy conditions to win the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open, at Gullane Golf Club, in East Lothian.

Jutanugarn first held the world number one position, for two weeks, in June 2017 and she will resume that position after earning her 11th professional victory on Sunday evening, which was her first on a links golf course. Reflecting on her performance, she said: “I had so much fun.

I didn't expect to win the tournament, because it's a links course.” The 22-year-old from Bangkok fired a final round of 66 to finish on 13-under-par, a stroke ahead of Minjee Lee.
