The Ayrshire Ladies County Golf Association is marking its 110th Anniversary by launching a drive for its members.

Committee bosses pictured above insist the game had never been hotter among women - and they want to open up the fairways to a new era of talent.

Captain Liz Wilson said “ We want to engage a whole new range of women in the game.
“ At our peak our Association had around 180 members but we are still going strong with 115 at present.

“ Being a part of our Association grants ladies of all ages to access of six cups per year, not to mention a great wealth of courses across Scotland.

“ The ladies already have 90 entrants for their Ayrshire Championship at Turnberry later this year and boast members aged seven through to their 80’s
