A friendly match of 8 players a side between Renfrewshire and Fife Counties took place yesterday where Fife Captain Lorna Bennett had very kindly arranged the match at Ladybank GC.
The course was in very good condition for this time of year, and despite the howling wind, the sun shone and there was no rain.
The top game saw Fife's Elaine Moffat and Susan Jackson narrowly beat Renfrewshire's Megan Briggs and Carol Whyte on the 17th and Renfrewshire won the other 3 games.

Match 1: Megan Briggs and Carol Whyte lost 2&1 to Susan Jackson and Elaine Moffat
Match 2: Julie Wilson and Alyson McGinnigle beat Lorna McKinlay and Brogan Clark 3&1
Match 3 : Gillian Kyle and Romy Erskine beat Lynn Newton and Lorraine Morrow 5&4
Match 4: Donna Jackson and Liz Stewart beat Linda Dyball and Laura Aitken 3&2
Fife 1 Renfrewshire 3
To top off the day, the team enjoyed a lovely meal in the Clubhouse, so all in all it was an excellent start to the season.
